How do I add a pet?
- Tap the My Pet icon at the bottom left of the screen (or from More->My Pet), tap on the pet's name in the top left corner. You will see "Add another pet" at the bottom of the drop-down.
- How do I remove a pet?
- Tap the My Pet icon at the bottom left of the screen (or from More->My Pet), tap on the pet's name in the top left corner. You will see "Remove <pet name>" at the bottom of the drop-down. You will receive several warnings before the pet is removed from the system.
- How do I switch between pets?
- Tap on the pet's name on the top left of the "My Pet" screen. You will see your additional pets on the list. Just tap the name of the pet you want to switch to or add another pet there.
- All of the screens pertain to the current pet only, with one exception: The Reminders Inbox spans across the app for all pets.
- What is the purpose of the More menu?
- It has short cut icons for most of the functionality in the app.
- You can search for a topic at the top of the app, such as "Insurance" and you will see the insurance icon, which you can then tap.
- You can pin icons you use frequently to the top of the More menu by a long tap on that icon, then choose "Pin to Quick Access". This will also pin those items to the lightening bolt menu and the iOS home screen's app icon, accessed with a long tap. Note: the iOS home screen icons are limited to four quick action menu items, our app will select most frequently used four if more icons are pinned.
- It has short cut icons for most of the functionality in the app.
- Is it true I can customize the four buttons located at the bottom of the app screen? By default, these are: My Pet, Health, Grooming, and Diet.
- Yes, tap on More->Preferences and you will see how you can easily customize the four buttons to be entirely different buttons that you more frequently use.
- You can also choose "Reset to default tabs" if you want to go back to the default menu buttons.
- Why should I keep track of pet expenses?
- Pet expenses, costs, refunds, claim payouts should all be tracked for the following reasons:
- Budgeting. If your family keeps a budget, it is helpful to know how much was spent this year in order to know how much to budget for pet expenses next year.
- Pet insurance reimbursements. Careful cost tracking is needed in order to keep track of amounts being applied to the annual deductible, and to get claim payouts when deductibles are met.
- Your kid wants another pet. By tracking the current pet's expenses, you can make an informed decision as to whether or not another pet can be financially supported by your family.
- Some people also just like to have the knowledge of what they are spending throughout the year and why.
- Pet expenses, costs, refunds, claim payouts should all be tracked for the following reasons:
